HomeSchoolers willing to Travel!

I have always loved to travel. I don't mind sitting in the car or waiting for airplanes. I love the adventure of what we could be doing along the road. Even more exciting is what we are going to eat :) When Chad and I dated I would go with him to see his customers and sit in the car till he finished work. Many times I sat outside of Oak Ridge National Labs in the car for 6 full hours or more and did my college work while I waited for him to finish. I knew when he finished that we would get to be together and I was willing to wait. I still do not mind waiting in the car for him to finish at a company so we can be together, but now we have four impatient children we had to train to do the same. They've learned to be okay with waiting because they know that their father and I will go hiking with them, or take them to a new geocache in an area they've never been before, or will go swim with them in the hotel when we get there. As long as we are together, we have a lot of fun.

This blog is about our family adventures, but I hope it will give you ideas on how to make traveling fun. You will hear our crazy stories that seem to only be able to happen to us and how it has changed, helped or just made our adventures that much more fun. I hope our stories inspire others to make crazy, sometimes stressful, but great memories together. Never let your final destination be your adventure. Learn to love the adventure along the way. That part is what makes the best memories! Ask my kids :)
